Tom Merritt Appreciates You
Hey folks,
I appreciate you.
It's one of my things I identified on It's a Thing but also it's true. I aim to never take for granted that you reading or listening or passing a long a thing I've done, helps me to live my life. That's community folks. That's humanity. despite what a lot of other media might tell you, that's what makes the world go around. I try to in turn share the love whenever I can. None of us can help every other person, but we can all help somebody. So thank you for helping me and I hope in return I help you right back by giving you some insight or at least some entertainment.
You know, I was just thinking that at least for me, being kind to someone, putting a smile on their face, is a kick. I get as much if not more out of it than the person on the other end. Even if, and maybe especially if, that someone doesn't agree with you or is even opposed to you. I have a good friend int he neighborhood who has a lovely dog. She and I do not agree on much about the world outside our street. But that doesn't matter. What matter is what's around us when we meet up with our dogs. And we agree on what's really important.
I know, sappy heady thoughts. That's what the season does to you. But all of this is just my way of saying thanks. And so I'm carrying over the free book links from last week. Just in case you need that last minute digital gift!
Happy holidays everybody!
