Why Facebook Really Went Down
Hey folks,
It was a heck of a week in tech what with that huge Facebook outage on Monday. There was a lot of misinformation, jokes and misinformative jokes flying around, so if you want to get the scoop on how the outage actually happened we talked about that on Tuesday's DTNS and clipped out just the Facebook outage explanation from the rest of the show if you want to get just that or share with friends and family.
We also sat down with Stacey Higginobotham of staceyoniot.com to talk about Matter. It's a standard protocol that will make Amazon, Google, Apple, Zigbee and a bunch of others work together in your smart home so YOU don't have to figure out what works with what.
We also had Molly wood on DTNS on Thursday talking about her new series How We Survive. And on Tech Republic I have five tips for preparing your business for life after the pandemic.
LOTS of tech this week! But don't forget I'm also serialising a reading of a preview of my book The Girl at the Bottom of the Lake at patreon.com/acedtect. It's a story about Dimension Rangers fixing space-time rifts and how two kids figure out how to do that too when they really shouldn't. Enjoy!
Tom
