Hey folks,
So that was an interesting week wasn’t it?
When last I wrote to you I was a little annoyed that Substack and Twitter were fighting and keeping Twitter embeds from working. It’s not like I can’t link to a tweet of course. But the automatic embeds made it really easy to put the extra content together.
But then Substack launched Notes which I have to admit, looks just like Twitter. Though it doesn’t work like Twitter. We talked about it a few times on DTNS this week.
Oh look, YouTube embeds work. That’s nice. A little big though. Anyway, Substack Notes has become a fun way to communicate with y’all when I’m not writing a full newsletter like this.
Not a shocker that the Notes embeds work really well. So I suppose I’ll start posting my content on Notes so I can embed it here? Like my Know A Little More About Algorithms.
Yeah like that.
In the meantime, may I call attention to two pieces of video. First, the latest Top 5 is all about ways you can fight misinformation. You might want to share this one with select friends and family.
And then I fulfilled a promise to gothamheights to make a “What’s in My Bag” video.
What do you think?
I had fun making it.
And if you have any questions about what’s in the bag, just ask me here!
Thanks all.
Have a great weekend.
Tom
What's in Tom's Bag?
Thanks man!
Love how you made embeds work for you!
