Hey folks,
I did a really good thing this week. I talked to people. It’s kind of easy to forget how helpful that can be.
There is nothing wrong with Daily Tech News Show. But it can always be better. So we had a big meeting where we brainstormed new ideas. That went great. And we’ve done that before. But I also asked people to answer some questions and brought them to two smaller meetings. One for the hosts and one for the crew.
That’s where the magic happened.
It wasn’t dramatic. It wouldn’t make a good reality show or anything. But just the simple act of talking to each other about things that usually seem too small to bother bringing up, was a huge help.
We figured out a much better schedule for hosts that is going to make soe many things easier. We hit on a way to make sure the Good Day Internet portion of the DTNS patron feed is even better. And we found out a couple of things that were sort of bothersome weren’t as big of a deal once we brought them out in front of everyone.
So we’re going to try to do that more often.
This week wasn’t quite as slammed as last week but it was pretty busy. Though again it was all fun and useful. I got an excuse to finally watch Titanic and talk about it. I’m looking forward to getting back to the more typical routine next week. Including a partial day off on Monday for the US holiday.
So anyway. There you go. My advice is, if you’re thinking “I wonder if we should talk about that,” the answer is probably yes.
Have a great weekend!
Tom
