Hey folks,
So wow. Last week I mentioned right here in this old newsletter that I was offering a class in podcasting. I figured I’d have some takers but I did NOT expect to sell out in less than a day! So added 10 more slots and THOSE sold out too. So I’m keeping it capped at 20 for now.
But if you were one of the folks who anted to take the class and didn’t get in, or didn’t see the notice last week, I definitely plan to make the video available later and I hope to do the seminar again too. So keep an eye out for info on both of those options. And thanks to everyone who was interested!
Prepping for that has kept me busy, as has prepping for DTNS’s annual experiment week, the next season of Know A Little More, my Korean class and that other secret project I still can’t tell you about! Autumn is going to be wild.
In the meantime, Roger wrote up a killer top 5 on failed home video formats you likely never heard of! This is not the obvious stuff mind you. No betamax or HD-DVD on this one! You must watch this. It was so much fun to do.
I also loved having my old friend Iyaz Akhtar. Well I mean we’ve been friends for a long time. He’s not that old. Anyway, he’s at PC Mag now and broke down the difference between the Razr+ foldable and the Galxy Flip foldable. It’s a modern day flip phone head to head!
I also really like this YouTube Short excerpt, partly because Robb, Justin and I have excellent insight into the Warner Brothers Discovery streaming strategy, and partly because Justin is wearing a Malort hat.
And now I must prep for all the concerts. We’re seeing (G)IDLE at the Peacock Theater on Sunday, Taylor Swift at SoFi on Tuesday, Aespa at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday August 13th, and Blackpink at Dodget Stadium August 26th.
Then we fly to Seoul August 31st to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
Yikes! Wouldnt’ have it any other way, y’all.
Hope your August treats you well.
Cheers,
Tom
