HI,
So as many of you know, our dog Sawyer died May 25 after 15.5 awesome years. It’s the first time our house has been without a dog since 2004. And whiel some people can’t go right into a new dog, and I totally understand that, we’re the opposite. We couldn’t be without one.
So Thursday we met and came to an agreement with an 8-=week-old puppy to come live with us.
He was born around April 14 in Lamont, California outside Bakersfield. He was found about 4 days after he was born with 4 other puppies and his Mom covered in fleas and ticks.
The Bakersfield country shelter treated them all and called him Mantis. Cool name. Then Wags and Walks in LA picked them all up and brought them in LA on May 24. The day before Sawyer died. They called the whole litter the S’mores litter because one was all black (Coal) and the others were brown and white. There was Graham, Hershey and our little guy who they called Marsh.
Marsh is apparently the shy one of the litter. A little clingy but super smart. Almost house broken and knows sit at 8 weeks. We brought him home Thursday and after a little wining began to realize how much fun he could have as a puppy.
Eileen (who I trust to name all our dogs) has named him Seven. It’s after one of her favorite songs, Seven by Jungkook of BTS. It’s also for Lucky 7 and in tribute to 7 of 9. He is tertiary bone chewer of K9. (Thanks TxJeb for that one!)
We call him Sev.
And yes. There are pics.
Say hello to Sev!
Hope that brightens up your weekend a little. It sure brightened up ours.
Tom
