OpenAI - Close AI - Eat Good Food

Hello friends!

I have to say it was quite the week in tech news with the firing and subsequent re-hiring of Sam Altman as CEO of OpenAI, all in the time between when I sent the last edition of this newsletter and now.

In fact, I sent this screenshot to my fellow Daily Tech Headlines co-hosts with the caption “A three part story.” It’s the first three episodes of DTH this week.

This week’s top 5 is on newsroom technologies. I take you on a tour of 5 example newsrooms throughout history and describe the top tech of the day. This was inspired by one of the on-stage talks I gave at CUE Days in Brussels earlier this month.

And of course we have the holidays here in the US. Thursday was filled with food. Eileen’s family came over and we ate, then ate and ate some more. There were two turkeys. Well a turkey breast and a full turkey. As well as sinigang, kare kare, doenjang mashed potatoes, canned cranberry jelly, maccaroni salad, rice (of course), haupia pie, pumpkin pie, ube cookies, chocolaet chocolate chip cookies, pork adobo, stuffing, second stuffing, apple cranberry crisp, danish fish cake, focaccia, pancit and pasta salad. Followed by games of code breakers, scrabble, boune off and more.

And of course, soju

Today we eat leftovers.
